Here's a recipe for Chipotle Guacamole that you can make at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from the can of chipotle peppers


  • Instructions:
  1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh into a large mixing bowl.

  2. Using a fork, gently mash the avocado until it's mostly smooth with some small chunks.

  3. Add the red onion, jalapeno pepper, garlic, lime juice, cilantro, cumin, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix until combined.

  4. Stir in the chopped chipotle pepper and adobo sauce.

  5. Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more salt, pepper, lime juice, or chipotle pepper and adobo sauce to taste.

  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  7. Serve the guacamole with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or any Mexican dish.
