Here's a classic recipe for making delicious Banana Bread:
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Add the melted butter, baking soda, and salt and mix until well combined.
Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk, and mixing just until combined.
If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
