Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed


  • 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Add the melted butter, baking soda, and salt and mix until well combined.

  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk, and mixing just until combined.

  5. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts.
